Blackburn Mall: shop by donation on Salt Spring
Our on-site donation store at the transfer station. Proceeds fund scholarships for the local high school and community programs, with over $115,000 donated so far.

What is the Blackburn Mall?
Our transfer station, affectionately known as the "Blackburn Mall" by locals, has a designated area where usable items are set aside instead of going to the landfill. These items are available by donation. It is not a free store: please leave a donation for what you take.
Proceeds support scholarships for local high school students each year, along with community programs. It keeps good items out of the landfill and gives back to Salt Spring: a place to find hidden treasures while contributing to a great cause.
When is the Blackburn Mall open?
Open 10 am – 3 pm · Closed Wednesdays. You'll find it at 360 Blackburn Rd, Salt Spring Island, BC V8K 2B8.
Can I drop off items for the mall?
Usable items can be dropped off after paying for their disposal. Ask our staff where to put them.
